Cerritos College Design & Technical Theatre Workshop * Fall 2004

Sponsored by the California Thespian Society, this workshop is exclusively for design and technical students. The fee is $25 per student.

 

The South Orange County RoleAbout * November 13, 2004

This will be a one-day festival that focuses on character development.  Our students will be in charge of running this festival.  For those students that wish to compete, the fee is $15 per student.

 

California State University at Fullerton Theatre Workshop * November 2004

A day of workshops for high school students that includes classes in dance, acting, storytelling, technical theatre and musical theatre. Students are invited to stay to view the latest CSUF production.

 

Chapman Shakespeare Festival * February 2005

A two-day festival which includes design, scene, and monologue competitions for the lovers of Shakespeare. Sponsored by Chapman University.

 

California State Thespian Festival * March 2005

This event offers students opportunities to attend workshops, compete in Monologue and Scene competitions, audition for college representatives, and perform their best for the All-State Show directors, trying to win a place on stage amongst the most talented California Thespians.

 

Fullerton College Theatre Festival * March 11 & 12, 2005

A two-day festival that celebrates the diversity of high school theatre. Competition includes monologues, scenes, one acts, musical theater, children's theater, improvisation, and design categories of set, costume, lighting and graphic arts. Students compete for trophies in each category. Students are invited to view the Fullerton musical each year during the festival.

 

California Theatre for Youth Day * March 2005

A celebration through out the state. Students are invited by MACY’S, DTASC, SCETA and CTA to perform for the Governor and the Legislature in Sacramento.

 

Cappies End-Of-The-Year Gala* June 2005

Founded in 1999, this path-breaking "Critics and Awards Program" is adding excitement and public acclaim to high school theater. Through the Cappies, high school student critics attend and review each other's shows, publish their reviews in local newspapers, and participate in a year-end, Oscars-style Cappies Gala.
