maintain an acting resume for use in class and at audtions. Use this sample as a guide as you prepare you
write your own.
How
to Write A Review
Play reviews are required for all students in Drama 1, 2, 3, and 4 each semester.
Deadlines will be announced in class, but it's always a good idea to get them
done early in the semester! Extra reviews can often be completed for extra
credit ... see your instructor for information.
Writing
A Play Summary Play
Summaries are written about one-act or full-length plays (depending on the
particular assignment) that you read on your own. A specific play may be
assigned to you, or you may be allowed to choose your own. Review the
guidelines for writing a summary if you have been assigned one in class.
Advanced Drama Journal Guidelines Advanced Drama Students (levels 3 and 4)
are required to turn in a journal every Friday, chronicling their work
in the class throughout the week.
Autobiography Checklist Every time you create a new character for a
play, scene, or monologue, you should also create a life for your
character. Use this autobiography to
help your mind to start to think like your character. Note: When Character
Journals are assigned, this is usually one of the elements that are required to
complete for your journal.
