The Festivities: It’s the maiden voyage for the USS Gigantic and a festive mood pervades the air. From the Captain and crew, down to each of the invited guests (all of whom are the bosses and employees of leading travel agencies), all are anticipating a pleasurable experience during the week-long excursion from Miami to the Virgin Islands aboard the state of the art cruise ship. Unfortunately, as they gather for the initial celebratory banquet, none are aware that someone onboard has other plans which might force a change in course…o9ne that will lead them directly into the path of murder. Performance Dates: Weds. Oct 15 and Thurs. Oct 16 at 6 p.m. Rehearsals: Will be held in class, be prepared to participate each morning Thursday, Sept 11 – Casting and read through of the show Friday, Sept. 12 – Read through Interrogation Monday, Sept 15 – Character Questionnaires due and one journal entry Tuesday – Sept 16 – Set idea due (drawings and explanation) Each day following will include rehearsal in the morning and set work and table decoration work in the morning. After school rehearsals: Mon, Oct 13 and Tues Oct 14 – (3-6 p.m.) in the MPR There may be a set painting day called if you cannot complete the work in the morning class time. Costumes: You will be responsible for finding and /or making your own costumes. The time period is present and the attire is evening cruise wear. Costumes designs are due on Sept. 19. Publicity: Posters, flyers, tickets etc..must be to the printer by Sept 12 so they can be ready for the parent booster meeting which will be held on Sept. 17 at 7 p.m. Food: We will need to secure a catering service ASAP. We have lots to do in a short amount of time…..and we
want to sell lots of tickets. Remember all tickets have to be pre-sold to order the appropriate amount of food. |
